Is the transparent background preserved?

Yes. PNG, WEBP and other images with an alpha channel are exported as PNG, keeping the original transparency after cropping.

How does the eraser work?

Pick the Eraser tool, set the circle size with the slider, then click and drag over the image. Erased areas become truly transparent (alpha channel) and the result is exported as PNG. Use Undo to revert the last stroke or Restore to bring back the original image. If you have set a crop area, the eraser shows only that region — and you can go back to Crop to readjust it at any time, since the crop is only applied when you generate the image.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens locally in your browser using HTML5 Canvas. No image ever leaves your device.

Which formats are accepted and what is the output format?

You can upload PNG, JPEG, WEBP, GIF, BMP and other image formats. JPEG files are exported as JPEG; everything else is exported as PNG to preserve transparency.

Does cropping reduce image quality?

No. Cropping only removes the pixels outside the selected area, without resizing. PNGs are exported losslessly and JPEGs use high quality (92%).
